If you hear "Ohio" and think of a vibe rather than a state, or you have said "skibidi" out loud in front of an adult, you already suspect the answer. This brainrot quiz puts a number on it. Ten questions about screen time, memes, slang and your camera roll tell you how deep the algorithm has pulled you in.

The quiz is free, takes about ninety seconds and keeps no data. You get one of three levels: Touch Grass Champion, Chronically Online or Full Brainrot, each with a short roast that your friends will absolutely screenshot.

It became a group-chat ritual for a reason. Everyone insists they are fine, then one person posts a Full Brainrot result and the whole chat has to take it. Play it on the bus, in a lecture break, or at 2 am scrolling, which is itself a clue.

What is brainrot and who is this quiz for?

Brainrot is the half-joking name for what happens after months of short videos, meme slang and doomscrolling: your attention span shrinks, every sentence becomes a reference and real life feels oddly slow. The word went from TikTok comments to the Oxford word of the year, which is itself a bit brainrot.

The quiz is for anyone who has ever wondered whether they are the normal one in the group chat. Teens, students, people in their thirties who learned what rizz means from a younger cousin: all welcome.

How does the brainrot quiz calculate your level?

Each of the ten questions has four answers ranked from offline to terminally online. The offline answer scores zero, the fully cooked answer scores three. Nine points or fewer makes you a Touch Grass Champion, ten to nineteen is Chronically Online, twenty and above is Full Brainrot.

Be honest about yesterday's screen time. The quiz cannot see it, but you can, and lying to a meme quiz is a whole new level of rot.

What kind of questions are in the brainrot quiz?

Nothing you need to study for. The questions check whether internet culture has replaced your actual personality yet:

  • Someone says skibidi in a meeting: blank stare, quiet smile or the full sound effect?
  • A song starts playing and you picture the dance trend before the artist
  • Your camera roll is holiday photos, screenshots of memes, or nothing but reaction images
  • How quickly you know a new trend: before it is big, when your parents mention it, or never
  • What you do in bed before sleep, and for how many hours

Why has the brainrot quiz gone viral?

Because it is a roast you choose to receive. Nobody wants to be told they are chronically online, but everyone wants proof that their best friend is worse. The result card is built for sharing, and the three labels are catchy enough to become nicknames. School classes run it as a poll, flatmates compare scores on the sofa, and parents take it to prove they are not as bad as their kids, usually with surprising results. If the score surprised you, the mental age test shows whether your brain is also older or younger than the rest of you.

Brainrot quiz: common questions

What does brainrot mean?

It is internet slang for the feeling that too much low-effort online content has melted your brain: short attention span, meme speak in real conversations, trouble sitting through a film. It started as a joke in gaming and TikTok communities and is now used by everyone, including the people it describes.

What score counts as full brainrot?

Twenty points or more out of thirty. That usually means heavy daily screen time, a camera roll full of reaction images, an instant laugh at skibidi and a group chat that communicates mostly in clips. The result text suggests touching grass, gently.

Is being chronically online the same as brainrot?

Close cousins. Chronically online is the middle level in this quiz: you know every trend and most of your jokes are memes, but you can still log off and hold a normal conversation. Full Brainrot is when logging off stops feeling like an option.

Can adults take the brainrot quiz?

Yes, and the results are often funnier than with teenagers. Plenty of people over thirty score Chronically Online without knowing half the slang, purely on screen time and bedtime scrolling. Taking it alongside your kids or younger colleagues is a reliable way to start an argument.

Is there a way to lower my brainrot score?

The quiz is a joke, but the habits behind it are real. Screen time limits, keeping the phone out of the bedroom and watching something longer than sixty seconds all push the score down. Retake it in a month and see if the algorithm has loosened its grip.

Does the brainrot quiz store my answers?

No. It runs in your browser, nothing is sent to a server and there is no account. The result exists on your screen until you close the tab or share it, which is entirely up to you.
